Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze the performance and availability of the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Implement and configure network monitoring tools, such as Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar solutions, to proactively identify and resolve network issues.
- Respond to network alerts and incidents, troubleshoot problems, and provide timely resolution or escalation to higher-level support teams.
- Collaborate with network engineers and system administrators to identify and address network bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and capacity constraints.
- Perform network traffic analysis to identify and resolve network performance issues, security threats, and abnormalities.
- Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory of network devices.
- Implement and maintain network monitoring policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective monitoring of the network infrastructure.
- Conduct regular network health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning activities.
- Stay updated with emerging network technologies, trends, and best practices, recommending improvements to enhance network performance and security.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support for network-related incidents and emergencies.
